It is always difficult to leave young children and go to work, so I made the decision to work from home and follow the love I have always had for art and craft.
My name is Kate and I was a stay at home mum of two beautiful girls. Well, in fact I still enjoy being a full time mum, it didn’t change.   However, I added a little extra to my life– the Kate's Treasures.  After doing some research, I realised that there was a niche in the market for presents attractively wrapped and reasonably priced.
It was a time when my best friend was expecting her first baby. I wanted to buy a gift for her to make that special time even more unforgettable.  I went for shopping and came back with a bag full of baby stuff but they didn’t look good in a simple present box. It was just too typical. I wanted something more memorable.  I put all these beautiful things on my sofa and started arranging them in a cake like a one I saw some day on the internet. I couldn’t believe when an hour later I finished my first nappy cake. My friends were amazed and delighted. It gives me a pleasure of creating something, what brings smiles to other’s people faces.
 
That situation gave me an inspiration for the Kate's Treasures – a place where everything is made with love.
